WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT THE WORKSHOP?

In about 4 and a half hours, maybe a little more:

  • you will learn all about sourdough starter (what it is, how to use it, I will show you my starter you will see and smell what a healthy starter should look like, how to use it, how to take care of it …),

  • learn about SOS-step (an important one if you want to revive your starter or if it gets bad),

  • you will make your own bread or pizza dough from scratch (how to add starter, how to mix and knead the dough,
    how to store it)

  • I will show you how to make focaccia and tell you a few tips and tricks (yup, we will also bake it and taste it, yummy),

  • you will make your own pizza (you will learn how to properly shape it, how to bake it at home, how to add toppings … you will then bake your own right there at the workshop and yummy dinner will be ready for you,

  • I will share with you my more than 10 years experience and knowledge about sourdough,

  • you will gain important and invaluable knowledge for life,

In this workshop, I will show you how you can bake sourdough bakes in a simple and quick way in the comfort of your own home and not spend more than 10 minutes of your actual time on the whole process (washing up, waiting and baking not included ;))

About food and drink at the workshop

All the food is organic. Because what we eat is important to me. Wherever possible, food is also of Slovenian origin and from Slovenian farmers.

The flour is homemade, stone-ground by the hard-working hands of Ervin Andrejčič from Špilar’s mill in Grahove near Cerknica. I have known Ervin since the beginning of my sourdough journey and his flour is what makes my starter Rudl the happiest.

We will refresh ourselves with Slovenian organic kombucha from Ayatana from Gorenjska, with whom I have been cooperating for a long time and they always respond kindly to invitations. They have such delicious and refreshing flavours and I love their fermented drinks.

And there will always be plenty of water/lemonade available during the workshop.
