Dear SourdoughManiac,

my name is Anita Šumer and I’m a passionate sourdough baker, creator, enthusiast and teacher who’s in love with sourdough since 2012. I am also an author of several internationally awarded cookbooks about sourdough bread.

My mission is to bring sourdough baking closer to more people and into their homes in a simplified and quick way.

I am so happy that you would like to make your first gluten-free sourdough starter! Let me show you how simple it is!

Why gluten-free?

Sourdough Bread is undoubtedly healthier and better than bread with commercial yeast. But it countains gluten which is a huge problem for celiac disease patients and for people who have thyroid problems, gluten sensitivity or wheat allergy.

Most store-bought bread contains gluten which can be found in wheat, barley, rye, spelt and kamut grains. Oats are also not recommended in the diet of patients with celiac disease. You will find more about it at the workshop. Various cookies, cakes and other foods also contain gluten.

Most of the stores now offer gluten-free variety of food but it is usually quite expensive, contains unhealthy ingredients and is heavily processed.

Baking bread can be so simple once you know the basics.
Whether you don’t eat gluten because of celiac disease, or maybe a family member has a celiac disease, or you just simply feel better not eating gluten … there is nothing better than  home-baked bread, knowin exactly what ingredients you used.

This is a 5-DAY FREE ONLINE WORKSHOP

Every day, at the same time, you will join me and together we’ll create your own gluten-free starter from scratch which you can then use for baking delicious gluten-free bakes.

And at the end of the workshop there will be a sweet celebration.
On the last day, on Saturday at 9am, you will make gluten-free pancakes in my company for breakfast! Yummy!
